Dream Show: Salthouse Lavish

Teesside-based electronic music maker Salt House Lavish drops his brand new album Radio The Chemical Head

The album is packed with sci-fi sonics, glitchy grooves and throbbing beats and creates ambiences for all as it takes you on a journey from the low rumbling soul of One Shot, to the galloping grind of Into The Water, to the fuzzed up ominousity of All Made Of Stars, to the spacey wonder of What Up Now.

Here, Salt House Lavish tells us what his dream show would look like…

This is a hard one for me, I’m notoriously busy with real life most of the time so I try and shy away from public performance. How ever I can be found playing bass with a blue band in my pub, The Crafty Cock. 

So far as gigs go, I would like to put on a one festival somewhere picturesque on a warm summer day. Have all my friends, bands and djs get together and just enjoy each other’s company, a few drinks and have everyone take the stage, formally or informally. At times rigidity spoils the process of creativity so it can be like a big jam session, DJ’s playing with a guitarist and singers getting up to do other bands songs. Just let it loose and have fun. And when the night draws in have Brian Eno and John Hopkins lead us all into the darkness with sublime ambience.

I would probably run a taco and tequila van while I’m not busy with other jobs, I make great taco, and tequila makes you happy. What more could you want from a moment in time that is music, friendship and food, a perfect slice of time.
