Singer-songwriter Craig Clark is set to release Burnt From The Heat on Friday 14th May (pre-save here), the second of his four singles due to come out in 2021. It was recorded and mixed by long-time collaborator Chris McManus at Blank Studios and the artwork is by Newcastle-based illustrator Emma Garrod

The track is a fresh and folky affair that effortlessly waltzes around the room, filling the space with its tender vocals, resonant adornments of piano and vibrant weaves of guitar.

The video was shot by Christopher Smith and Molly Mills and we’re delighted to be given an exclusive look at it. Here, Craig tells us more about the visual accompaniment to the single…

“The video is a tale of two outlooks of life. Loosely based around the lifestyle of the people of New Orleans. The lethargy of the down and outs with their trays of crawfish and street tricks to hustle money from you. And the passionate drive of 7 nights a week musicians in the dive bars, who never stop playing until their tip jars are full.”
