On 12th May, Changing Lives hosts a fundraising comedy night at The Stand to support its work with people experiencing homelessness across the North East.
Changing Lives brings its fourth Stand-up For Changing Lives comedy night to The Stand, Newcastle on Tuesday 12th May, offering a full evening of live stand‑up in support of people across the city facing homelessness. Now firmly part of the charity’s fundraising calendar, the event features a strong line‑up, with host Elaine Robertson joined by Dave Johns, Kelly Rickard, Plastiq and headliner Lauren Pattison. It’s a chance to see some of the region’s sharpest comedic talent in one of Newcastle’s most iconic venues, all while raising money for a cause rooted firmly in the North East.
Every ticket sold helps Changing Lives continue its vital work across the region. The charity provides accommodation, outreach and tailored services for people experiencing homelessness, helping individuals rebuild their lives and move towards safety, stability and independence. With more than 14,500 people supported each year, the organisation remains a crucial lifeline and this event plays a real part in keeping that work going.
Alice Fisher, Senior Fundraiser at Changing Lives, said, “We’re absolutely delighted to be returning to The Stand for our fourth annual comedy night. It’s a brilliant opportunity to bring people together for a great night out, while also raising vital funds for people in Newcastle who are facing the realities of homelessness.
“No one grows up dreaming of being homeless. But with the right support, lives can and do change. Every
ticket purchased helps us continue providing that support right here in our city.”
