On Saturday 25th February, Summerhill Bowling Club, Newcastle and I Love My Brick team up to welcome back “Leeds’ immigrant-led double-drumming harmony-laden anti-capitalist hook machine,” Living Body.

The project was conceived by Leeds-based Chicagoan Jeff T. Smith (f.k.a. juffage) and features long-time collaborators Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Sleater-Kinney, Courtney Barnett, Wild Beasts), Tom Evans (Vessels) Alice Rowan (Mayshe-Mayshe), Sarah Statham (Crake, Fig by Four) and Jack Burgess-Hunt. The band thrive on bringing joy to people’s lives in the form of innovative pop music and since their last visit to Newcastle in May 2020 they have written new material and acquired a second drummer.

Support, comes from emerging singer-songwriter and storyteller Maius Mollis and Blu_aro, an exciting new electronic project from local musician Mark Cooper (Ten Sticks, Winter Isle), who makes his live debut.

Tickets: £8 advance / £10 on the door and available here.
