Following a critically acclaimed, sell-out Spring Tour, Seabright Productions bring Black Is The Colour Of My Voice to Alnwick Playhouse on Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th September. American writer Apphia Campbell’s production is inspired by the life of Nina Simone and features many of her most iconic songs and follows the successful singer from a young piano prodigy destined for a life in the service of the church, to a renowned jazz vocalist at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement.

Black Is The Color Of My Voice was written in 2013 and has since had sell-out seasons in Shanghai, New York, Edinburgh, and in the West End of London, as well as receiving plenty of critical acclaim.

Tickets are available from Alnwick Playhouse website.
