Auntie Joy returns for another day of music and workshops in Ryton on Saturday 19th March.
After a successful debut event in September last year, promoters NofC and TQ zine presents Auntie Joy part 2, a day of music and culture at Ryton (near Gateshead) taking place on Saturday 19th March.
At Ryton Ye Olde Cross Pub from 3pm (doors 2:30pm) you can enjoy the Tyneside Improvisers Workshop featuring saxophonist and music educator Faye MacCalman and double bass master John Pope. Musicians of all abilities are welcome, just bring your instrument.
Over at Ryton Holy Cross Church from 11:30am – 2:30pm, there is a whole feast of musical fun (as well as a bit of silence) from percussionist Christian Alderson, meditative music makers Shunyata Improvisation Group and pianist Kate Halsall. Tickets are available on the door and are £10 for adults and £5 for OAPs, Under 16s and those on benefits.
