Harry, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Or at least, it would be if this event wasn’t already destined to be so hugely popular. In celebration of the opening of the exhibition David Lynch: Between Two Worlds at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, US experimental punk band Xiu Xiu were asked to perform David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti’s soundtrack to Twin Peaks and, after two sold out events, the band are coming to Europe for a small handful of shows, including one at the Sage Gateshead.

Alongside the performance by Xiu Xiu, the venue will also be transformed into a little corner of Washington State, complete with audio, visuals, and even a little replica of the Double R Diner (who hasn’t wanted to eat there?)

The Sage are also giving us a brilliant excuse to come in fancy dress. There’ll be prizes for the people who look the best as their favourite Twin Peaks character, so if you’ve ever wanted to unleash your inner Lucy Morgan or Dick Tremayne then there’s no better time.

It’ll be like a slice of damn fine cherry pie.

Xiu Xiu will play the music of Twin Peaks at the Sage Gateshead on Monday 5th October. Tickets are available from the Sage Gateshead’s website now.
