Stockton Calling have today announced their final headliner for the April event. Durham’s lo-fi pop artist Trunky Juno, will headline a brand new stage at The Link at Stockton Globe, which will be curated by BBC Introducing Radio Tees.

Rianne Thompson, curating the stage on behalf of BBC Introducing Radio Tees says: “BBC Radio Tees has been covering the Stockton Calling festival for many years now so we were delighted to be asked to curate a stage of our own for the first time ever. Our wonderful audience can expect to see some familiar names from some of the great artists featured on our BBC Introducing shows – and we’re really proud to present this line-up of local emerging talent.”

BBC Radio Tees are a new partnership for the festival, and Tees Music Alliance’s Paul Burns is pleased to welcome this new collaboration. “Having the BBC Introducing team supporting our event is a genuinely exciting addition and a fitting one, based on shared values and support for local artists. BBC Radio Tees is always very visible in our local area, so it’s great for our festival to be the focus of that visibility for the day, shining a light onto a small slice of the huge musical talent that our area produces.”
