The third year of The Biscuit Factory’s Open Contemporary Young Artist Award is now open for submissions and aspiring artists have until Sunday 31st March to enter. With a prize that offers a unique commercial platform alongside the opportunity for a solo show and £1000 cash, it’s well worth entering, as work from everyone shortlisted will also go on display as part of a group exhibition from 17th May to 25th August, with a smaller prize that’s up for public vote for £250 also able to be won.

Emerging talent from all over the UK will be entering, hoping to win a solo show at the UK’s largest independent art, craft and design gallery with this a must for many artists able to enter who are under the age of 35.  Submissions are accepted across a range of media, including paintings, photography, handmade prints, sculpture, glass, ceramics, textiles or jewellery.

It’s then over to the gallery’s in-house curatorial team then select the overall winner.
