Mixing dynamic dancing and physical theatre, new company State of Grace bring their show to Discovery Museum
State of Grace is a new physical dance-theatre collective, who’ve been working very hard of late, the fruits of their labour being a new show And All The Humans Will Be Eliminated. The show is set for three intimate performances at Newcastle’s Discovery Museum, in The Great Hall, on Tuesday 29th March, with two further performances on Wednesday 30th March.
Mixing dynamic dancing and physical theatre, they use classical techniques and music alongside digital, live-coded sound art and song, telling stories with real depth, that captivate and truly dig beneath the skin. Made up of performers Charlie Dearnley, Peter Kerry-Forbes, Lizzie J Klotz, Rosie Macari, Alicia Colette Meehan and Alys North, with sound art by Sean Cotterill, this is an immensely talented group who are looking to push boundaries and really make State of Grace a stand-out name in dance-theatre.
Their show And All The Humans Will Be Eliminated is an off-beat, dark tale, that twists and turns, telling the story of six lost souls and a manipulator of sound, a face-off ensues, in a wild dance of death and redemption as they battle to be saved.
