The Newcastle studio announce four more live online performances that celebrates North-East musical talent
Polestar Live Sessions is a four month showcase of the hottest local music talent that sees performances live streamed from Newcastle’s Polestar Studios directly to their Facebook page. The aim is to shine a light on and celebrate a curated mix of some of the hottest North East artists.
It kicked off to huge success with live streams from Kay Greyson on 1st July & Lizzie Esau on 15th July that saw over 600 people tune in to watch them. There are still six more performances to go, four of which have recently been announced.
On Thursday 29th July, North East powerhouse and female trio bigfatbig take to the online stage, they’re followed by R&B and pop duo Badmind on Thursday 12th August, soul sensation Beth Macari on Thursday 26th August and indie/chamber pop/jazz-Americana outfit, Albert Smith. All performances take place at 7:30pm.
All streams and content are free, but you will be able to donate. Musicians are being paid for their contribution to Polestar Live Sessions, but Polestar Studios are keen that any donations they receive, also go directly to the artists, to support them after such a challenging year in the music industry.
