Brought to you by the good folks at The Kids Are Solid Gold, who are also behind the award-winning Twisterella Festival, NXTGN is an exciting new music-focused showcase taking place on Saturday 28th March across three stages in Middlesbrough.

At the inaugural event Teesside University and Westgarth Social Club will host the likes of critically acclaimed Liverpool quartet Spinn, exciting Scottish acts Dancing On Tables and Nieves, Low Hummer The Goa Express, One Nine and Indian Queens, plus Derry singer-songwriter Roe, mysterious songwriter Zeb and electronic duo Ophelia Lies. Local talent is well represented, with Kay Greyson, Jodie Nicholson, Nadedja, Twist Helix, Michael Gallagher, Mt. Misery, The Lulas and Dymphna also performing.

There are more line-up announcements to come in the following weeks. Promoter Andy Carr says: “It’s great to get the first wave of NXTGN acts announced and their names finally out there. There’s a huge appetite for discovering great new music here on Teesside and NXTGN is very much about allowing fans to make an early connection with some of the most exciting new acts from across the UK. There’s a lot of industry buzz around a significant number of the acts that we’ve got in place for this first event, with many of them playing at the UK’s key tastemaker festivals in 2020. NXTGN is going to enable north east music fans to make that connection first and get well ahead of the game. We’re incredibly excited for this line up and we’ve still got even more acts to announce.”

Tickets priced at £15 + bf are available now.
