After a hugely successful inaugural festival in 2015, Lindisfarne Festival seeks to grow even further in 2016, promising to be bigger, bolder and better, while still retaining the warm, intimate atmosphere that left so many festival goers happy last year. Running from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th September 2016, Beal Farm in Northumberland is sure to be rocking once again.

This year sees indie legends Reef joined by The Cuban Brothers, Beardyman, Little Comets, Molotov Jukebox (including lead singer Natalia Tena from Game of Thrones and Harry Potter), Mercury nominated C Duncan, Northumbrian born Kathryn Tickell & Superfolkus, Lisbon and Shields alongside many more of the best emerging acts in music.

With the Saturday headline slot is filled by Reef, there’s still Friday’s headliner to be announced, along with many more acts. Other artists announced so far include The Church, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, Bridie Jackson & The Arbour, Blue Rose Code, Elephant Sessions, Funkliners, Pinact, Cattle & Cain, Ms Mcq, M1 Dukebox, The Happy Cats and Hip Hop Hooray.  With an eclectic line-up showcasing a plethora of music genres, the festival is also a great platform for some of the best up-and-coming North East artists.

Overlooking the mystical Holy Island, there’s a range of creative arts, high quality food and ale, comedy and poetry, while a range of DJs will provide the opportunity to dance right through until dawn. With tickets on sale now, this is a festival well worth getting excited about in 2016.

Lindisfarne Festival takes place Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th September 2016, at Beal Farm, Northumberland.
