Everyone loves to have their spine-chilled at Halloween and watching a spooky film is the ideal way to get your blood running icy cold. However, it’s hard to immerse yourself in the terror of a good fright-flick whilst watching it on a 32” LCD flatscreen that inconveniently acts as a gateway to the other side as your enjoyment is being constantly interrupted by entities trying to pull you in to their realm to feed off your light.

To remedy this problem, you could try a good old fashioned exorcism, but they can be costly and can also get rid of the good ghosts in your house (e.g. the pale old lady who stands looking out at your window at night, who is quite effective in preventing burglars from targeting your house, or the poltergeist who tucks you in at night when you are cold). The better solution would be to head down to Gosforth Civic Theatre on Saturday 31st October and enjoy a full day of a full day of frightfully, fantastic film for all the family.

The daytime is made up of two screenings, with Halloween fancy dress strongly encouraged. At 10am, join Sully and Mike on the scare floor in the Pixar classic Monsters, Inc. followed by much-loved Disney classic, Hocus Pocus from 1.30pm. In the evening (from 6pm), there will be back to back screenings of Sam Raimi’s cult classics The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II, with table service on hand to bring food and drink from their special cinema menu throughout the evening.

All tickets can be ordered by visiting Tickets can only be ordered for single households and support bubbles. Poltergeists and Demons can be classed as a single bubble if they haunt the same house.
