Creation, Factory, Sub Pop, Rough Trade… All great independent record labels who nurtured their local scenes, whilst keeping an eye out for exciting talent. Wouldn’t it be great if Teesside had a label who did something similar? Well they might just have that thanks to brand new Middlesbrough record label, Goosed Records – a collaboration between The Danny Kebabs and The G.F. Bruce Band, who hope to discover, showcase and release music from Teesside artists.

Like any good local indie label they have a strong community ethos, which is reflected by their aim of offering free recording to artists, as well as future plans of putting on a series of open mic sessions and big ticketed music events. But first things first, a record label wouldn’t be record label without a good launch party and Goosed Records’ will be taking place at Westgarth Social Club on Saturday 27th April. The line up features music from the minds behind the label – The Danny Kebabs and The G.F. Bruce Band, as well as local band Miraculous Mutha and singer-songwriter Jodie Nicholson and very special DJ set from GGAllan Partridge’s Dan and Soph.

Tickets are £4 ADV or £3 on presentation of a NUS card. Get yourself there before they get bought out by a multi-national label, put ticket prices up and relocate to London.
