The festival on Blyth’s coast returns for its 11th year
Blyth’s Festival By The Sea returns for its 11th year from 15th-17th July. Taking place at Meggies Burn Fields, by the coast, it features a plethora of live acts and lashings of food and drinks all for only £15 adult/£10 child for a daytime single entry ticket, or £30 adult/£15 child full for a three-day pass
Headliners include Trevor Nelson’s legendary Soul Nation R‘n’B classics celebration, local soul heroes Smoove & Turrell, the ever-adored Baghdaddies, hot faves Col Mustard & the Dijon 5, and Steve Edwards (who wrote the World Cup song, World Hold On).
There is also the introduction of the brand new MegaDome, a state-of-the-art covered dance area. Promise Newcastle will be getting trance fans’ feet moving with John Kelly (Cream) and more on Friday, while Saturday’s Disco Dome, hosted by Whitley Bay Renaissance, features John Morales (Glitterbox), Lenny Fontana and Natasha Kitty Kat. Then on Sunday, This Bling Thing signs off with Trevor Nelson.
The BrewDog Village will be showcasing new and local talent with performances from acoustic musicians to comedians to cabaret acts.
Alongside all this, there will be street food, craft ales, cocktail bars, fairground fun and the Hot Tub Chill Out Zone.
