We bid a fond farewell to one of the North East’s finest
The curtain is set to come down on the quite wonderful music of Bridie Jackson & The Arbour, though there’s a chance to say goodbye properly, as they’re set to go out with a bang with a show at Cluny 2 on Sunday 4th September.
Their good friends Gilmore & Roberts are also playing, and there’ll even be a chance to hear new track Advice, which was just released via their Bandcamp page here. The quite gorgeous folk track sees all proceeds raised going to Bloodwise, a phenomenal charity that fund research into treatment for leukemia, lymphoma and other cancers. Bridie Jackson & The Arbour have long been one of the most original and beguiling bands in the North East, subtle strings, haunting sounds and delicate delivery made their output something that was consistently a bastion of good songwriting in our region, so we bid them adieu in the best way possible, in the way they know best, incredible songs in an intimate venue, on a special Sunday in September.
