Back for its third year, Bay Tales Live returns to Whitley Bay for an all-day celebration of crime and mystery writing on Saturday 2nd March.

This year’s event includes panel talks from some of the country’s best crime authors and provides a chance for crime and mystery fans to hear from some of the genre’s biggest names, with opportunities to find out about their latest projects and get your hands on signed copies.

Top of the bill this year sees Channel 4’s Steph McGovern interviewing bestselling author Val McDermid, alongside a range of panel discussions featuring New York Times bestselling author Alice Feeney, journalist and author Jonathan Whitelaw, Sunday Times number one bestselling author Claire Douglas and many more. Also set to appear is Bay Tales patron and prolific crime author Ann Cleeves, in conversation with Emma Flint, author of Little Deaths.

As well as a packed schedule of events, fans will have a chance to grab a souvenir from the on-site bookshop, merchandise stands or the money-can’t-buy charity raffle.

Bay Tales Live takes place on Saturday 2nd March at Playhouse Whitley Bay.
