When Middlesbrough’s Base Camp announced their plans for a long weekend of LIVE music, there were whoops for joy here at NARC. Towers (actually, it’s kinda more of a bungalow these days, but y’know…we’re excited!)

Boro’s independent artistic hub are back with a corker of a line-up taking place on Saturday 29th-Monday 31st August from their brand new Concrete Garden (which is basically right outside the venue). Cannily titled ‘Not Leeds Festival’, nine performers will take to the stage over three days, with each performance individually ticketed. Announced already are sets from Eve Conway, Eyeconic and Old Red Eyes (Saturday 29th) and bigfatbig, Shakk and Mt Misery (Sunday 30th August).

We’re thrilled to exclusively reveal the final line-up taking place on Monday 31st August, which will feature Hartlepool’s ‘janky popsters’ Marketplace, indie rock songwriter Michael Gallagher and a special stripped-back show from Leeds’ alt. rockers Dead Naked Hippies.

The shows have been organised by respected events and promotions company Ten Feet Tall, and Base Camp’s Aaron J Lythe is clearly thrilled to be back at the helm of live music in the town. “It’s so exciting to be able to give these artists the opportunity to play live to a real life audience again, to be able to show off the new and improved Base Camp, entertain a crowd, and have fun with it all in one weekend after months of daydreaming about exactly this!”

Tickets are on sale for all shows now, and a maximum of six tickets are allowed per booking in line with social distancing bubbles. Tables will be well spaced out, with hand sanitiser stations throughout, track and trace on entry and no standing allowed.
