Teesside folk-pop duo Cattle & Cane (aka Joe and Helen Hammill) recently dropped a video to their track Golden, taken from their upcoming fourth studio album (out 2022). It sees the siblings performing with The Untold Orchestra at The Albert Hall in Manchester to create a rather magical piece of music featuring their soulful, melodic vocals nestled in amongst a smooth, euphoric soundscape adorned with glorious strings and horns.

Here, Cattle & Cane tell us about their dream show ahead of their own special Christmas show at The Globe in Stockton on Saturday 18th December

After not being able to play any gigs for almost two years, headlining The Globe in Stockton on 18th December honestly feels like our dream show right now! We’ve been blown away by how many tickets have been sold and we can’t wait to see everybody there.

Other than that, we love the outdoors, so somewhere outdoors that we can dress with fairy lights would be perfect.

I love Christmas, so maybe The Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York.  And all musicians and guests have to wear skates.

The line up would include The Beatles, Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, George Michael, Shania Twain and Steely Dan. Bob Mortimer would compere the night.

We’d have a free bar. Lemon tops for dessert. Everyone would receive a Christmas present as they arrive as well as free hats, scarfs and gloves. Got to keep warm on the rink!

We love our annual Christmas gig, so any excuse to make things as festive as possible…
