Musicians living in the Tees Valley are invited to submit applications to Tees Music Alliance’s Green House residency programme, which runs from Monday 24th February-Saturday 1st March 2025. The Green House provides opportunities for band and artists to access professional recording and rehearsal facilities, gain valuable advice and support from industry professionals including 1-to-1 mentoring, take part in a professional photoshoot, and perform a fully recorded live set at The Georgian Theatre.

Funded by PRS Foundation as part of TMA’s recent inclusion in their Talent Development Network, the residency will work with three artists or bands, and will provide a valuable outlet for musicians to hone their craft. David Saunders, Music Development Manager at Tees Music Alliance said, “The Green House is a great opportunity for local musicians regardless of genre or where they are in their music career. In this current climate, spare time and money is increasingly hard to come by and musicians, especially on a grassroots level, are feeling the effects of that with rising recording, rehearsal, touring and promotional costs. Successful applicants from this residency will not only walk away with helpful advice but will have actual things that can advance their career, whether that be new music and industry advice, newly recorded music they can release, or promotional material, such as a live video and photoshoot, that they can use to increase their opportunities of press coverage or getting a gig.

Alongside the facilities that will be available to artists, it also gives bands and artists an opportunity to share a creative hub with other musicians which can lead to collaboration and connections that allows ideas to flourish and can lead to exciting opportunities down the line.”

Applications are open to musicians of all genres based in the Tees Valley area, with a closing deadline of Friday 6th December.
