Glasgow art‑pop outfit bring their theatrical intensity to Three Tanners Bank on 24th June
Walt Disco bring their evolving electronic‑rock world to North Shields this month, headlining a Notion Live Events show Three Tanners Bank on 24th June. The Glasgow‑formed group — fronted by Jocelyn Si alongside Finlay McCarthy, Charlie Lock, Lewis Carmichael and Jack Martin — arrive in the North East during a period of renewed momentum, following recent international touring and the release of their latest single Coup de foudre.
Known for blending electronic production with analogue synths and driving band dynamics, Walt Disco’s sound is built around emotional clarity and direct, personal songwriting. Their debut album Unlearning established them as a distinctive presence within the UK’s alternative landscape, earning award nominations and leading to festival appearances and arena support slots across Europe and the US. Follow‑up record The Warping continued that trajectory, securing a second Scottish Album of the Year nomination and expanding the band’s audience further.
Released in May, Coup de foudre marks their first material on EMI North and signals the beginning of a new chapter. The track draws on early‑2000s dancefloor intensity and reflects the band’s current focus on developing their live show and building towards future releases. Recent writing has centred on themes of growth, identity and the transition into adulthood, shaped by personal and lineup changes within the group.
