Local promoters Down By The River bring a fantastic night of live music to the intimate coastal venue on 2nd October
Purveyors of all that is great and good in acoustic, folk and blues, Down By The River, put on another fine evening of music at The Engine Room, North Shields on Sunday 2nd October.
Performing is North Yorkshire artist George Boomsma, an artist has been who has been honing his songwriting craft for the past decade and wowing audiences with his melodic, soulful vocal and tender, intricate guitar playing. His last show at The Engine Room was in October last year as part of the I Saw Nick Drake tribute show, when he notably used Drake’s guitar to perform Place To Be. This time around George will be performing his own material, including music from his new EP entitled What’s Left Behind.
Joining George is North-East singer-songwriter Philip Jonathan, an artist who draws musical inspiration from Sigur Ros and Ben Howard, and whose songs are carefully crafted from deep, personal meditations and search for the beauty found in some of the rawest and most vulnerable moments of our lives.
Tickets are £10 ADV and available via the Down By The River website.
