This year’s Darlington Arts Festival is set to take place in Darlington’s Town Centre and various other venues from Friday 20th to Sunday 22th May. The event is co-ordinated by Darlington for Culture as a showcase for arts organisations, individuals, groups, activities and venues, with a large part of the festival dedicated to writers of all levels.

There will be a giant marquee for sellers and exhibitors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the market square alongside a variety of locations for performances and workshops, including The Forum, The Hippodrome, St Cuthbert’s Church and the Friends Meeting House

There will be an artisan market taking place on the Sunday at East Row and artists and illustrators Brian Lee, Sam Green, Art Of Mistakes UK and Alison Ivanec will be displaying their work at Friends Community Hub (former Footprints bookshop) on Skinnergate.
