The Forum Cinema and Hexham Photography Group proudly present a talk and Q&A with multi-media artist, photographer and lecturer
On Friday 21st April, multi-media artist, photographer, researcher, and lecturer Ingrid Pollard will talk about her life and work at The Forum Cinema, Hexham.
Ingrid’s work is concerned with representation, history, and landscape with reference to race, difference and the materiality of lens-based media. She uncovers layered histories of representation, making the invisible visible, revealing (in her own words) “what we always knew was there”.
Pollard was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2016 as well as being one of four artists nominated for the Turner Prize in 2022. She was also appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2023 New Year Honours for services to art.
The talk takes place at 7:30pm and is followed by a Q&A session. To book your tickets, click here.
