Museums Northumberland is currently showcasing work by talented artists from across the North East as part of its new exhibition at Woodhorn Museum, with new exhibition Into the Woods running until Monday 22nd April.

It all follows on from an open call which saw work submitted by 130 artists, with the final selection of work in the new exhibition celebrating the past, present and future of trees, woodlands and forests.

It’s a great opportunity for regional artists to showcase and sell their work, and shows Museums Northumberland have a real community spirit and a knack for helping talented creatives reach a wider audience. With Journal Culture Awards Visual Artist of the Year 2018, Narbi Price, and visual artist and educator, Esen Kaya, joined Liz Ritson on the judging panel, the selections were sure to be special, and the artwork on show is bold, playful and authoritative and spreads across artistic disciplines.

Into the Woods and the Coal Forest Grow runs until Monday 22 April 2019 at Woodhorn Musem, Ashington.
