A stonking four-band bill rocks up to Head of Steam

Newcastle’s Head of Steam will play host to four great bands on Saturday 9th February with a line-up that will take some beating this month.
Headliners are the always wonderful Twist Helix, a band whose roots stretch from Newcastle to Alicante but who are so entrenched in the local scene that they entitled their 2018 sophomore record, Ouseburn. The band make glorious Euro-tinged electronic anthems that are as instant as they are memorable and their live shows are nothing short of euphoric. Another local band who are hot and getting hotter are Echolines, a four-piece indie band with more than their fair share of hooks, riffs and infectious tunes.
Also gracing the stage will be London’s all-girl indie garage disco band Bugeye; think of a Blondie/Pixies mash-up and you won’t go far wrong. Last but not least are Novyi Lef, another local band who serve up an uncompromising, political take on electroclash.
