Redcar rock and rollers The Shakin’ Nightmares release their debut single, Alien Orders, on Friday 5th April with a special launch show at Middlesbrough’s latest in-the-know small venue Hey Base Camp. Singer Ryan was formerly in controversial rockers Fleckt Pets so expect no little amount of drama, although he is keen to point out “the night is not just celebrating the release of our new single, but the work and talent of Teesside’s musicians, film-makers, beer-crafters and venue promoters. We’ve got a few surprises planned to make this more than [just] a gig.” The band have also teamed up with Redscar Brewery in Redcar for a limited edition bottled beer available to buy on the night.

Having only formed in April 2018, The Shakin’ Nightmares’ dark and urgent songs have seen them quickly gain local support. Alien Orders is a proto-punk foot stomper and is accompanied by a slick-as-you-like performance-based video by Wander Films which has already racked up nearly 10,000 views online.

Adding something of a showcase feel to the line-up is Teesside’s favourite alt. punks GGAllan Partridge and fuzzy doom riff-heads DRIPP.
