Darlington gears up for a genre‑spanning celebration of music and comedy as the first wave is announced
Last Train Home Festival has unveiled the first wave for its 2026 edition, with a stacked mix of rising indie, punk, folk and alt‑noise acts set to take over Darlington on Saturday 5th September. Leading the announcement are Scottish indie rockers Lucia & The Best Boys, Teesside’s electronic punk poets Benefits, and Newcastle alt‑indie outfit LEAZES.
They’re joined by grunge‑gazers Labyrinthine Oceans, garage‑rock firestarters Risco, alt‑new‑wave newcomers Polyvinyl, folk‑rock songwriter Callum Pitt, North‑East indie voice Katie Grace, Hull’s shouty feminist punks WENCH, Americana‑leaning Glad Town Ghost, melodious songwriter Anna Karila and indie outfit The Callows. More names are still to come.
Alongside the music, the festival once again teams up with Hilarity Bites Comedy Club for a full day of stand‑up across the programme, featuring Gavin Webster, Silky, The Halls of Ridiculous, Devin Gray, Maxine Wade, Dawn Bailey, El Purnell, Anna Thomas and Ray Bradshaw, all compered by Rob Mulholland.
Last Train Home 2026 takes place across The Forum Music Centre, Darlington Hippodrome and The Hullabaloo, promising another multi‑venue sprint through some of the most exciting new artists in the region and beyond. Tickets are available here.
