The café at The Waiting Room will welcome a very special and funny guest on Sunday 7th August in the shape of Josie Long, who appears in Teesside before jetting off to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As a writer and a stand-up comedian, there’s nothing that Josie loves more than travelling to perform her comedy before a live audience. She’s rocking up at mima with some great ideas about how to make the world a better place, because as well as being a Twitter fan, she’s a major fan of social justice. She cares a lot about politics and yet can always see the funny side. This wonderfully entertaining comedian combines intellect and enthusiasm to create enticing, zany comedy worlds; from beginning to end, her performance overflows with ideas and creativity.
Josie’s witty, politically minded and quirky style is a real treat, don’t miss this opportunity to see her latest work-in-progress show. She’ll be supported by one-man musical polymath, The Shooting Of.
Josie Long is at The Waiting Room, Eaglescliffe on Sunday 7th August.
