James Gray Robson & The Lovely Burn bring their acoustic folk and old country soul sound to Empty shop this month, arriving at the Durham venue on Sunday 12th November.

Armed with a bunch of intricately crafted songs, the duo cultivate a rather memorable sound that draws on influences like Ryan Adams. James’ powerful, soul-filled voice which is reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and Chris Burn’s tender, atmospheric guitar strike exactly the right balance as evidenced on their most recent release Rule For You.

It’s one of the last live gigs for a while, before they throw themselves back into writing and rehearsing, and this quirky little venue in Durham is in for a treat.
