Following a hugely successful inaugural event this year, which resulted in them being shortlisted for three awards at the UK Festival Awards, Coast Fest have announced their return with an impressive headline booking.

The event, which will take place at Percy Park Rugby & Football Club in North Shields from Friday 21st-Sunday 23rd June, will see internationally acclaimed songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Badly Drawn Boy take one of the headline spots, bringing his eclectic style and well-loved back catalogue to North Shields.

There’s been further cause for celebration in the Coast Fest camp, as the festival has been shortlisted for three awards – for Best Small Festival, Best Newcomer and Best Grassroots Festival – at the upcoming UK Festival Awards in Manchester.

The festival’s ethos of supporting grassroots artists will mean there’s certain to be a healthy local contingent on the line-up too, so keep your eyes peeled for future announcements.

Tickets for Coast Fest are available here.
