BIG Little Gigs are live music events for children aged 0-10 (and their families) ran by Sarah Wilson (Tracks and Noisy Daughters) to introduce them to excellent quality live music experiences from all genres. Their first event of 2020 takes place at The Forum, Darlington on Saturday 15th February (2-3pm) and is a bit of a hip-hop extravaganza as it welcomes rising star and female rapper Kay Greyson.

Newcastle’s Kay Greyson released her debut mixtape in 2016 and has since performed all over the UK opening for the likes of Akala, KRS One, Pharoahe Monch, Lil Eazy E and DJ Yella. She’s influenced by big names such as Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino and she incorporates their fun and interactive performance style into her own.

Kay is no stranger to inspiring and educating children with rap and has taken her musical abilities into Excelsior Academy in Newcastle, which resulted in her featuring on Inside Out on BBC in the North-East and Cumbria last year.

The event is split into two halves and starts with a short, fun interactive workshop teaching everyone BIG and little some hip-hop vocal skills. The second half of the event will be a performance from the artist herself.

Tickets on sale now at The Forum Music Centre priced at £5 each, both adults and children need a ticket and under 1s are FREE  Tel: 01325 363135 or online from www.theforumonline.co.uk
