If you’re a fan of surreal merriment and pointless competition, the third instalment of stand-up comic Lewis Gray’s improvised panel show A Quest To Stardom will have you chuckling in no time. Deftly pitting musicians and comedians against each other in a bid to achieve the ultimate goal of ‘stardom’ (whatever form that may take), the teams will act, joke, sing and even gargle, as their quick wits and performing abilities are stretched to the limit.

The next show, taking place at Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle on Sunday 13th September, will see team captains David Callaghan and Sammy Dobson joined by off-the-wall comic Si Beckwith, Futureheads bassist Jaff Craig, gag-man Joby Mageean and quirky songwriter Jack Gardner.

“It’s a hugely fun show to be a part of. I grew up loving things like The 99p Challenge and Shooting Stars, so we’ve tried to recreate that level of fun, creativity, and anarchy.” Says team captain David Callaghan. Fed up of the predictable panel show format? This one’s for you.

A Quest To Stardom is at Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle on Sunday 13th September.
