MY WRITING LIFE WITH FRAN HARVEY: Bob Beagrie

In the latest episode of our literary podcast My Writing Life, Fran Harvey chats with Teesside writer and poet Bob Beagrie about how encouragement from a writing group he attended while working part time on a building site set him on an unexpected path to university and poetry, socialist art and reshaping the world through it. They meander through conversation about creating the lost language that is seventh century Northumbrian Old English; the Spanish Civil War and the working-class movement that inspired his book Romanceros; the gothic whimsy of his new book Hand of Glory and loads more.
