The Newcastle rockers return to the live stage with a gig at O2 Academy this month
Boy Jumps Ship have been so low on the radar in recent months that any time they poke their head above water, it’s a wonderful surprise. They’ve had a pretty quiet summer, but did reveal new single, Fashion, in April; a song about the dangers of social media, unrealistic beauty and life standards and it’s an unapologetically catchy rock song.
They also manage to snatch a place on the bill at This Is Tomorrow Festival, opening for American giants 30 Seconds to Mars, where their new song was certainly a hit with the crowd. This intermittent time away from the limelight has all been working towards the brand new material in the works. It’s about time they had a follow up to their 2016 debut album Wake Up.
To blow the cobwebs off, Boy Jumps Ship are heading out on a UK headline tour this October, and it’s hoped the local boys will perhaps even showcase some long awaited fresh material. North East fans can catch them at the O2 Academy 2 on Saturday 27th October.
