It’s been a while since I’ve fallen so hard and so quickly for an album as lush and expansive as Rival Consoles‘ Articulation. Coming at a time when we’re all cautiously venturing out into the world, his evolving and organic electronica points the way to expanding space and new horizons.

Through the tension and excitement of tracks such as Vibration On A String, you feel the music gently calling you back to the club, back to your friends and back to normal life. It mixes genuine hands-in-the-air bangers, such as the relentless Forwardism, with genuine moments of mindfulness in tracks like Melodica. The album ping-pongs across the speakers but somehow, out of a skittering of digital fuzz, creates a natural and familiar pulse.
