Lee Hammond discovers a timeless swagger on Neal Francis’ new album
Ato Records
Released: 14.03.25
Neal Francis continues to go from strength to strength, returning with yet another fantastic album. He enlists the brilliant Say She She to accompany him on the first three tracks, their funk-infused disco sound kicking off Return To Zero with a bang, with Broken Glass as the instant hit of the three.
Francis hits his stride with the likes of 150 More Times, there is an inimitable swagger that arises from Return To Zero and it becomes more prominent throughout the record. Dance Through Life and Can’t Get Enough both have an incessant groove to them, with the latter bringing the record to an emphatic close. Neal Francis has made a record that nails a timeless sound in amazing fashion!
