Emergent R’n’B artists have been producing many of the UK’s finest tunes over the last decade, with the likes of Jorja Smith, Mahalia and Arlo Parks lighting the path. Léa Sen is a precocious 23-year-old French-Martiniquan singer-songwriter, producer and mixer based in London. Having worked with Joy Orbison on the stunning breakthrough electronic masterpiece Better, her debut Levels is forthcoming, following a series of stunning EPs.

Home Alone is a beautiful opener, with one of the lead singles setting the tone for a beautiful album. It’s one which doesn’t overstay its welcome; ten tight tracks which wander through bluesy R’n’B, trip-hop and gentle breaks as Léa explores growth and self-discovery. Ghostwriter and lead single Video Games are specific highlights but the entire album really is beautiful.
