Preview: Between Dialogues @ Vane Gallery

Between Dialogues is an engaging new exhibition at Vane Gallery in Gateshead, running from the 4th to the 7th of February, offering a compelling look at how visually diverse artistic voices of the region can intersect and resonate through shared cultural, theoretical, and practical experiences.  

Featuring work by Naomi Fahy, Blanka Olejniczak, Carl Truscott, and Niki Widynska, the show highlights the creative conversations that emerge when distinct artistic practices are combined. Each artist works in their own expressive medium, ranging from multimedia installations and sculptural painting to narrative figuration. However, this exhibition reveals underlying threads of inquiry and influence that bind their practices together. It is collective art at its finest.  

These four artists, currently studying together on the MA Arts Practice at The Northern School of Art, Hartlepool, draw on personal experience, emotion, and conceptual frameworks to explore themes such as identity, transition, perception, and the act of making itself. These are four new artists which are not to be missed as they come together to create a pattern of thought that will stick with you for long after this exhibition.  

Presented as part of The Northern Arts Gala at Vane, Between Dialogues invites visitors to consider not just individual works, but the rich interplay between them, and how ideas and forms can echo, challenge, and expand one another in a shared space. Perhaps you will even be inspired to continue the art of interconnectedness.
