Stockton’s multi-venue festival Stockton Calling have kicked off their line-up announcements for the 2025 festival in style. North East favourites Maxïmo Park will headline the ARC stage at the event, taking place on Saturday 19th April, bringing Billingham-born frontman Paul Smith back to home territory.

The band are riding high after the recent release of new album Stream of Life, which distils the band’s best qualities of propulsive energy and nuanced lyricism into one of their best releases yet, and with 2024 live shows in the region selling out in record time, their headline slot at one of the North East’s favourite music festivals will ensure it’s a hot ticket indeed.

Bringing a band of Maxïmo Park’s quality to the festival is a real coup,” says festival co-promoter Chris Cobain, “they’ve got a hatful of hits, and we know they’ll put on a blistering show.”

If this first opening salvo from the festival team is anything to go by, it’s set to be a record year for the event, we can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeves…

Festival tickets are on sale now, with last year’s price of £40 frozen for the 2025 event.
