Reliably informed

Having released recent single Hard Rainfall back in November to such a rapturous reception that they had to repress the vinyl for a second run, Newcastle’s fuzzy garage rockers Pit Pony have now unveiled the accompanying music video.

The claustrophobic video, created by long-term collaborator Sel Maclean, depicts an existential crisis in action; smoke swirls around a dark forest setting, as dancer Jonny Curry twists and writhes as he attempts to clear his head of angst-ridden thoughts. Singer Jackie explains the inspiration behind the song: “The track is about expressing your true feelings, and about how while it’s the best thing to do and we all should do it, it’s rarely easy and can often be the hardest thing in the world and easy to run away from.”

In our latest NARC. X… video interview, Jackie and guitarist Garth chat with Claire Dupree about the themes behind the track, the making of the video and their future album release plans.
