The North-East-based musician and producer gives us an exclusive look at the new video that accompanies their recent single
In December 2022, Northeast musician and producer, Jonathon Sabiston (aka Wild Spelks) released Black Spores, a popped-up alt-rock number that talks about moving on from unhealthy relationships and habits, and comes complete with satisfyingly crunchy chorus, impassioned vocals and some intricate rhythmic delights.
We’re chuffed to be given an exclusive first look at the video that accompanies it. Here Jonathon tells us more…
“The video for Black Spores was shot in a Newcastle studio space, directed by North East born director Kristian Young. We have tried to tie in lyrical themes from the song, to visuals throughout the video. Bacteria, rain and other gritty images are spliced between quick cuts of performance. As with the music from the Wild Spelks project, all parts were performed by Jonny, which we reflected in the video.”
