A new video for the titular track from Nano Kino’s newest EP get its release
The intelligent shimmering pop of Nano Kino seems to get better with ever landmark they hit. Their newest EP Surfing On The Void featured all of their poppiest sensibilities alongside their ability to craft something tremendously atmospheric. With the titular track now released as a single, there’s an accompanying video out today for it too, and it’s just as gloriously captivating as the song itself.
Nano Kino are a band that do subtlety tremendously well, Duncan Lloyd (Maximo Park, Decade In Exile) and Sarah Suri’s songwriting captures that retro electro pop vibe and brings it bang up to date, while doing it all in such a straightforward way. The new track and video embody all they do best; guitars twinkling in and out of Suri’s beguiling voice, the video is the ideal visual accompaniment to the song; no nonsense and immensely bewitching. Nano Kino are a band who just get better and better, a band worthy of getting excited about, and a band for whom a track and video as magnetic and seductive as Surfing On The Void is a step towards bigger and brighter things.
Nano Kino’s Surfing On The Void EP & single are both out now.
