Hartlepool’s indie-pop outfit give us an exclusive look at the first of a series of live sessions, recorded at their rehearsal space
When people talk about the region’s emerging musical talent, one of the first names to come to mind is Hartlepool’s Mt. Misery and deservedly so, when you think about what the melodic, indie-pop outfit have achieved having only formed last year. The band have already self-released two self-recorded EPs, received airplay from Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music, had two BBC Introducing ‘Track of the Week‘s and went on a UK tour with Canadian artist Micah Erenberg (as support and backing band), which is pretty good going.
Mt. Misery are kick-starting 2020 with a series of live sessions, beginning with brand new track, The Dreaming Days Are Over and we’re delighted to get an exclusive first look at the video that accompanies it.
Frontman Andrew Smith tells us more about the track, “We’re currently working on our debut album and as it’s been a little while since we last put out any new music, we thought it’d be nice to record a live version of a new song at our rehearsal space. It’s a little different to what we’ve put out before, but we really like it, and we’re really looking forward to sharing more new music this year.”
