Reliably informed

Marc Bird is a songwriter, visual artist and former member of indie art-rockers, Yellow Creatures. Originally from Sunderland, now based in Hebden Bridge, Marc has been working away in his home studio to develop his solo offering, Bronze, his debut album set for release via Plastic Palace on 12th June this year.

As a sample of what’s to come, the creative musician releases the album’s title track as a single along with a voyeur’s delight of a music video, which we’re pleased to be premiering today. It’s a contemplative slice of indie-pop with vibrant ripples of synth reminiscent of Depeche Mode, mesmeric string samples and a beautiful, diaphanous vocal.

It’s a song that, considering the current climate, we can all probably relate to as Marc explains…

“Bronze tries to encapsulate the loneliness and isolation you would feel, if all of your friends and acquaintances were to be turned to stone.”
