Darlington’s annual musical extravaganza Last Train Home, like the rest of the world, has been derailed this year, having had their plans piston by the awfulness that is COVID-19. Not ones to remain station-ary, organisers and pillars of the Darlington music community, Tracks are letting off a bit of steam with a series of recorded live sessions to keep the ethos of the festival chugging along and giving artists a platform to showcase their talent.

On Friday 5th September at 7:30pm Last Train At Home will be broadcast via the Tracks Facebook page. Filmed at Darlington’s Head Of Steam Museum and funded by Creative Darlington and features performances from Dilettante, Eve Conway, Shakk and Ceiling Demons with interviews by BBC Intro’s Rianne Thompson.

Sarah Wilson from Tracks tells us more…
” It’s so nice to have been able to do something a bit different to celebrate what would have been our Last Train Home Festival 2020. We’re looking forward to bringing it back for 2021 but it felt right that we should do something to mark it this year.

“When we were offered the opportunity of using Darlington’s Head Of Steam Museum to film we jumped at the chance. It’s such a quirky location and keeps the roots of the festival tied in nicely with Darlington’s railway history”

So if you are looking for something to watch this Friday evening then make sure you choo-choose Last Train At Home (sorry, not sorry).”

If you can’t wait until tomorrow then we’re delighted to be given an exclusive look at one of the performances from art-rocker Dilettante.
