SINGLE EXCLUSIVE: Idle Hands – Swarm Of Fear | NARC. | Reliably Informed | Music and Creative Arts News for Newcastle and the North East

Reliably informed

While still in their infancy, Idle Hands are already marking themselves out as a band to watch out for. Playing and writing music together for years in projects in and around the North East, the new band formed with the goal of writing songs that are first and foremost completely personal to them, grounded in who they are both spiritually and geographically and reflective of their own personal filters and perspectives.

They release debut single Swarm Of Fear today, and we are delighted to bring it to you right here. The arrangement is evocative in its use of drawing on alt country and Americana influences, and bodes well for exciting future releases. There’s a nostalgic undertone, and thoughtful songwriting musically and lyrically makes for something tremendously intelligent and worthy of repeat listens.

With more to come, mark Idle Hands out as a band you’ll be keeping an eye (and ear) on for 2018.
