After a busy end of 2021 with his MAD House tour, Newcastle-based rapper Scrannabis returns with the release of The MAD House Freestyle on Friday 1st April.

The track is a heavier track than previous offerings but with an accessible groove (with some lovely keys and sax) and a confident vocal style. It sees Scrannabis talking about his aspirations and status in the music industry as well as commenting on the state of the industry itself.

We’re delighted to be given the track ahead of its release. Here’s Scrannabis to tell us more…

“After a year of doing crazy new festivals and after going on tour with mad house but no new tracks from me, I wanted to come back with a bang and drop something I hadn’t really done before. With that in mind The MAD house freestyle was born, with a writing style and track that is more rooted in core hip-hop than I usually tend to put out. It’s also the first single off my newest project Below Par that I’ll be dropping later this year, which, to keep a long story very short, is a project just of different styles I wanted to try and I can’t wait to show you it… But more information on that soon! For now, The MAD House Freestyle is out Friday 1st April.”
