Video Exclusive: Jamilah – After 10

After a strong start to the year, where she was announced as one of BBC Introducing North-East’s top tips, Jarrow-born R&B star, Jamilah, began 2020 with the release of her new single, After 10, followed up by the release of her new EP, Love & Practice. Today, she drops the video to After 10 and we’re delighted to get an exclusive look.

Jamilah tells us more about the track, “After 10 is something I worked on with Footsteps and Brook Baili. 2 Artists I’m a huge fan of and a team I connect with really well. We recorded the track at my favourite studio in London (In Tottenham) with my favourite engineer Jerome.

“It’s about a relationship with someone who you go through the motions with. A partner who is your best friend but who you ultimately grow away from. Not because of an act, but because you are now two completely different people. However, no matter how much you try to stay away from said person, there’s this thing that just pulls you back. You always seem to end up right where you tell yourself you didn’t need/want to be.”
